Information related to each Location used for manageing stocks are to be registered in the [Location Master]. Some locations can be used for provisioning the child parts to External Manufacturer. In this case, this location-based Stock management would be useful to have an overall picture of current stock at the External Manufacturer quickly. The registered Location can be used throughout all screens, such as [Goods Received Entry] or [Goods Shipped Entry] screen. You may also choose the location registered here as the location to receive the purchased or externally manufactured goods in the [Purchased Goods Received] screen or in the [Externally Manufactured Goods Received] screen respectively. By correlating the supplier (which is to be registered in the [Contact Master]) and the location in the [Location Master], [Supplier Location] can be defined. [Supplier Location] is useful to manage the stock in the External Manufacturer. If the child items are supplied to the External Manufacturer through [Provision Entry] screen, the quantity of the items provisioned will move to the [supplier Location]. For the External Manufacturing Order Items with provision, the quantity of the items provisioned will move to the Supplier Location when the External Manufacturing Order is issued. On the other hand, the Quantity of the child items provisioned will be subtracted from the quantity of child item stock at [Supplier Location] when the External Manufacturing Order is submitted in the [External Manufacturing Order Entry] screen. by setting the location for each entry, you can manage the quantity of stocks at each location. However, this means that you need to specify the location for every operations with which movements of the stocks are involved. To simplify the operation, [Standard Location] is prepared in the [Item Master]. By defining the [Standard Location (receive)], [Standard Location (Store)], [Standard Location (Use)] for each item, defined Standard Location will be automatically chosen when you make an entry in the [Purchase Order] screen or the [External Manufacturing Order] screen, or the [Internal Manufacturing Result] screen respectively. |
